COP 26: Union actions for clean construction

To mark the 2021 United Nations Conference on Climate Change, BWI asserts that trade unions are vital in the push to create a more sustainable construction sector, both for workers and the climate. 

As such, BWI has put together a list of actionable ideas that trade unions can do to move forward to a greener and cleaner global economy that is fully committed to workers’ rights, particularly their rights to decent work and retooling, and gender equality. 

Dubbed as “Actions for Clean Construction,” BWI calls on its affiliates, partners and allies to pick up the suggested ideas in their lobby and advocacy work, and bring them to their negotiations with decision-makers and industrial partners.
