Farewell, Mohammed Firman
It is with deep regret that BWI announces the untimely death of Mohammed Firman, General Secretary of FKUI, Indonesia. BWI and FKUI lost a tireless and very dedicated trade unionist, who was expected to be elected as union president this year.
Firman’s place in history is secure. He was a seasoned trade union leader. He started to get involved in the trade union movement in 1998 as a labour activist and an organiser of domestic and migrant workers.
BWI joins FKUI in extending its condolences to his wife and daughter, union compatriots and friends.
We lost one of our best today.
