Nominations for 2022 BWI Climate Justice Award extended

Due to the number of extension requests, nominations for the Climate Justice award category of the 2022 BWI Awards are now open until 16 September 2022.

The 2022 BWI Awards aim to celebrate the exemplary work of BWI affiliates and/or individual members worldwide and highlight exceptional examples of trade union struggles and victories against overarching system challenges.

The Climate Justice Award category is awarded to the organisation, individual or group of working people or organisations that have devoted their militancy on the ground to achieve concrete results for workers and their communities to advance workers’ protections against the climate crisis and for climate justice. A BWI independent Jury will evaluate all nominations and decide on the Laureate based on unanimity.

Other award categories are Fair Games and Rights for All. 

This year’s award ceremony will be held on 5-7 October 2022 at the BWI 5^th World Congress taking place in Madrid, Spain.

Make sure to submit your nomination by 16 September and get the chance to be bestowed this year’s BWI Climate Justice Award.
