Get ready for the 2023 International Women's Day!

To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, BWI will underscore climate justice and a just transition as essential elements in achieving a gender-equal future of work. This is in line with BWI’s 5^th World Congress in 2022 wherein it decided to make a strong pivot in its mission towards the environment by highlighting the crucial role of women in addressing the continuing threat of climate change on the working people. 

BWI’s trade union affiliates worldwide are strongly encouraged to hold activities at the national and local levels and issue statements in support of a gender-equal future and fair transition to a green economy together with government leaders, policy and opinion makers, and media practitioners.
