From 26 April to 1 May, the local branches of the Independent Trade Union of Forest, Wood Processing and Paper of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSSPDPBIH) marked International Workers Memorial Day at work places by conducting various awareness raising activities on safety and health.
Materials with various slogans such as “It is time to live better,” “Without strong and respected trade unions, there is no developed social dialogue and democratic societies,” “Safe work is very workers’ right,” and “Unions make work safer,” were distributed to union members.
These activities were part of the decisions taken by the Executive Board of the SSSPDPHIH o 19 April to campaign for public authorities and employers to ensure safety and health.
