TUWERNA mobilizes to end gender-based violence

The Trade Union of Ecology and Natural Recourses Workers of Azerbaijan recognizes that gender-based violence is a serious issue faced by people around the world and Azerbaijan is not an exception. To celebrate International Women’s Day which is an official national holiday in Azerbaijan, the union conducted a series of events and awareness trainings to educate its members about the campaign to stop gender-based violence and find possible solutions.   The union also organized a theatre spectacle on 6 March for women workers to highlight the importance women play in the workplace, unions, and communities.
