5th Congress Video: Peace is the bedrock of democracy

On the occasion of BWI's 5th World Congress, 750 trade unionists from different parts of the world gathered in Madrid, Spain to reaffirm their strong commitment for global peace. They asserted that without peace, there is no justice. And without justice, there is little hope for human and trade union rights, and democracy.

Peace is the bedrock of working class democracy. Amidst the continuing rise of global authoritarianism and military conflicts, BWI and its affiliates pledge to continue the struggle to change the world and make it a better and more peaceful place for all.
