Histadrut: Stop domestic violence

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November and the 16 days of activism on violence against women, Histadrut (via its women's movement Na'amat) launched a campaign at workplaces called "Recognising the signs."

The campaign’s goal is to create a supportive and empathic climate and environment at workplaces, and encourage a culture free from the cycle of violence. The campaign is based on three pillars: a) alertness, b) awareness, c) tools.

As part of the campaign, Histadrut produced a series of short videos titled "Don't Leave Her Alone. My Sister's Keeper.” The union is planning to widely distribute the videos on different social media platforms and produce radio-friendly versions.

Histadrut has also planted twenty trees to commemorate the twenty women who have been murdered in 2020 by their husbands/partners. This was initiated by the Jewish National Fund, in cooperation with Na’amat. The said event marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
