15 March: Today millions of students and young people will be mobilizing in actions around the world to stop climate changes. These young people are outraged by the lack of political leadership and will to address the serious threats to our planet. Youth leaders and activists of BWI affiliates will also join the global events and the movement to stop climate change. Here are their voices:
Dayang Salleh (STIEU-Sabah), Chair of Asia Pacific Regional Youth Committee:
"For young workers entering the job market, climate change is one of the defining issues that we will face. We know there are no jobs on a dead planet, and so young workers need to rise up on 15 March to make our voices heard! Our sectors---construction, wood forestry and building materials---will be a critical to achieving a just transition from fossil fuel-based growth that guarantees the protection of worker's right and the protection of our planet.”
